Rajsharee Patel and Alexis Brink: ‘Emotional intelligence and the importance of mindfulness’
Two mindfulness authors join Bold TV to discuss emotional intelligence and the importance of mindfulness for overall health with GenBiz and the C-Suite Network. Rajsharee Patel, author of The Power of Vital Force, and Alexis Brink, author of The Art of Jin Shin, say emotional intelligence is the measure of being connected and present. Mindfulness is about being tuned in with yourself and with others allowing your emotional connection with colleagues to be healthy. When your cell phone is on 10 percent, you either run for a charger, or you close all the excess apps and tabs. Likewise, when your emotions are stuck, or you feel burdened, you need to recharge or learn to close the extra tabs open in your mind. Patel and Brink tell GenBiz and the C-Suite Network that mindfulness is equally as important as physical or dental hygiene, which you attend to every day.
