Add Gavin Newsom, Rahm Emmanuel, and Gavin Newsom who are the latest to sound more like republicans, thinking they will get the democratic vote. Democratic potential candidates need to spend more time activating their base than trying to sound like the republican party. We have to condemn violence in all forms and be honest. Trump and his administration claim to be fighting antisemitism but people in his OWN administration harbor #antisemitic views. Hate crimes against Jewish people rise when he is in power. Furthermore, the way that he singles out antisemitism on campuses and never discusses hate and violence against other groups on campus has the reverse effect of endangering Jewish students more based on what some of my Jewish students have told me. #trump is the not the leader we need to help bring this country together. I did not learn until after my last video that Sarah Milgrim was a student at American University. She was part of the same program I teach in, the School of International Service. Senator Bernie Sanders is the latest in the democratic party to move towards appealing the #maga base. I understand he is a registered independent, but obviously he rides with democrats.
