Democratic potential candidates need to spend more time activating their base than trying to sound like the republican party. Furthermore, people who interview them should ask them to define #woke and break down specifically what parts of it they are against so they can be on record. Furthermore, when you vote for people like #kristinoem as #slotkin did and have no open regrets about it, you’re very much asleep as to what you think the democratic party needs.

We have to condemn violence in all forms and be honest. Trump and his administration claim to be fighting antisemitism but people in his OWN administration harbor #antisemitic views. Hate crimes against Jewish people rise when he is in power. Furthermore, the way that he singles out antisemitism on campuses and never discusses hate and violence against other groups on campus has the reverse effect of endangering Jewish students more based on what some of my Jewish students have told me. #trump is the not the leader we need to help bring this country together. He thrives on the division.

I did not learn until after my last video that Sarah Milgrim was a student at American University. She was part of the same program I teach in, the School of International Service. Sarah was someone who was doing the work of making peace. She was fighting to actually help the people of Palestine and was slain by someone trying to make a #freepalestine statement. Senator Bernie Sanders is the latest in the democratic party to move towards appealing the #maga base. I understand he is a registered independent, but obviously he rides with democrats. Folks! We don’t need the word and we never did! I don’t differentiate between the spellings. If the roots of the word is negative then the word will always be negative. We have so much richness that we can claim. We need to move on from this usage. This isn’t about respectability politics. This is about US. Wherever you have been historically with this word, do we really STILL need it now? I don’t think so and it says something if this is a word you just “can’t stop” using. What do you think?
