Women own approximately somewhere between 13.3 and 14.5 million U.S. businesses, representing over 39–45% of all enterprises and generating significant revenue, with nearly 49% of new businesses started by women in 2024. Despite high entrepreneurship rates, women face challenges in scaling, with only about 2% reaching $1 million in revenue and 29% in senior leadership roles.
