#erikakirk was the only speaker I saw (I didn’t watch the entire event) who actually spoke in terms of Christianity and forgiveness. #trump, #stephenmiller and others used this event as a #maga rally. Trump should have been booed when he said he hates his enemies but he was loudly applauded the hypocrisy is real and on full blast but they don’t care. #charliekirk means nothing to Trump but an opportunity to continue his grift while inflicting more violence on America. Those who claim to be true Christians should have been angered by his speech, not inspired. What do you think?

I was saddened but not surprised by the comments of  @stephenasmith  on his podcast. He basically said that #jimmykimmel should never critiqued the President and no one should because they should know what’s coming. He said that #kimmel didn’t “read the tealeaves” and that he should have known better. He then falsely equates the idea of #cancelculture and tries to “Both sides” this. #stephenasmith has shown that he is going to cave to #trump and this administration. So many fought so that he can be in the space he occupies. This country was built on the right to dissent. Smith is clearly comfortable with us losing free speech in America.  @JimmyKimmelLive  deserved better from someone you called a friend.

As I’ve listened to experts on political assassinations, I’m learning that many of these killers have no political affiliation. Some wanted to impress a woman. Some just wanted fame. What if, based on what we know so far, his motive was only love for his partner who he felt was being targeted? That does not justify the killing. What it DOES do is call America to have a deeper conversation about the comfort we fill in America for using violence as a form of expression for their feelings. This will lead us to do deeper work to actually progress towards ending this violence. Utah Governor Spencer Cox said on the network shows that #tylerrobinson was “radicalized” by “left-wing ideology” but provided more evidence. He said that Robinson had a #transgender partner but that means nothing at this point of the investigation. From #lauraloomer to #nickfuentes and his #groypers, many people in the republican #maga world hated #charliekirk too. Lastly, #spencercox is scared to call on #trump to help call for change, knowing full well that Trump said clearly that he doesn’t give a damn about bringing people together. Regardless of who killed #charliekirk, there are deep issues about this killing and other violence that America must address instead of spewing more vitriol and targeting each other. #donaldtrump is not the leader for this moment. He is still spewing hate. Furthermore, the killer is apparently not trans, not gay, and people don’t know his political affiliation because he didn’t vote but he comes from a republican stronghold and they loved guns. We don’t know the politics of the man who shot at #trump. Furthermore, there are many republicans who don’t like fascists too and and pro-lgbtq. We need to get real about the age of these killers, online radicalization, access to guns and so much more. until we do that, this is going to continue.

I believe that we should not be airing the killing of anyone on television or social media. Unfortunately, the media doesn’t feel the same way. There is a serious hypocrisy in the airing of Black death on television. America has a history of airing Black death, even going to back to post cards of lynchings that were mailed by the United States Postal Service. We watched George Floyd get killed for over 9 minutes. When I mentioned children getting killed and having it aired, I was referring to children like Tamir Rice. I share examples of several others in this post. Who is going to take the responsibility for changing this? I hope it will start with you. Don’t post or watch any of it!
