Bio

I am a woman of faith, nurse and entrepreneur. I married a wonderful soft spoken man by the name of Dan. He has been my support system in all my endeavors, even retiring from American Airlines in 2011 after 28 years of service to become the CFO of Healics Holdings.

Our two grown daughters live nearby with our three grandchildren who range in age from 8-14. We love spending time with our family and we divide that time between WI and Key West. The best of both worlds so to speak. Winters in Key West and summers enjoying our 46 acre property in northern WI.

We are also the second generation to raise dachshunds. Carrying on that tradition from my parents.

I Grew up in the midwest and was one of three children. We were taught to give 100% no matter what we were doing. My parents not only taught us that, but they walked it out by example.

I love helping people and that started at a very young age. As I looked back over my 45 year career I realized that everything I did or continue to do involved or involves helping people in some way.

In 1976 I fulfilled my life long dream of becoming a nurse and then worked for 15 years in a variety of settings before I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey.

I established several successful businesses over the next 30 years which gave me extensive experience buying, selling, and running businesses. This expertise developed over time has allowed me the ability to assist and give the small business owners options for retirement or exiting their business in a dignified way.

In addition I hold several board of directors’ positions including one at Healics Holdings, Inc. Milwaukee, WI. An industry-leader and 100% employee-owned ESOP Holding Company with four portfolio companies – Healics Wellness, Healics Clinics, Healics Technology and Core Staffing Group.

Prior to transitioning to my BOD position at Healics, I was the President/CEO of Operations at Healics through June 2020. In that position, I implemented a continuous improvement and quality control system that contributed to the company’s high client retention rate.

After transitioning to my BOD position I again found myself wanting to help others, so I launched Excel Legacy Group, LLC to assist business owners prepare for retirement or exiting their business in a dignified way. In addition, protecting their legacy, business culture and their trusted employees.

I also serve on the boards of MMAC and The Granville BID and am a member of the Council of Small Business Executives in addition to supporting several non-profit organizations.
