Dan Smith has become a good friend of the show in a short time and we had an awesome conversation about what we are both up to. In Kansas City, Dan has a band that was honored with the award for Best Cover Band in 2023 and now they are spreading their wings all over the midwest this summer.

Ryan Little Eagle is an international touring musician, recording artist, and dreamer. We talk about his career as a singer/songwriter traveling the world playing shows, his Native American Music awards, his heritage and culture and why the Black Hills are special to him. 

Releasing a new album called Simple Things & Small Town Dreams is next on the list for Ryan and here at The Scene we have already shown some of what he does on our show Love Noise.

Brad Morgan has become a friend over the course of the last year. We met in Yankton, SD where he performed during the summer and we were instantly big fans. I don’t think any of us then thought we would all be where we are now. 

Brad is the recipient again this year of the honor of being recognized by his peers as the Male Vocalist of the Year. He is an advocate for the Midwest Country Music Organization and embodies everything that the group is and should be. It’s always a pleasure to have Brad on the show and to talk music with him.

This was our favorite trip of the year!! We had the esteemed pleasure of staying and playing at Katmandu Campground in Sturgis, SD this Memorial Day weekend. They treated us like royalty the entire trip and we cannot thank them enough for their extreme hospitality. 

We stayed in the dry cabins and your host Bubba Startz played an acoustic show right on the campground that evening. We have a ton of content to show off from the trip but first we wanted to introduce you to Lynette and Brent Larson. The owners and some of the most gracious loving people I have ever met. I am so thrilled to be working with them and helping around on the campground this August for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally August 2-12
