She is a professor at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and she also wrote the upcoming book, “The Power of Flexing: How to Use Small Daily Experiments to Create Big Life-Changing Growth” releasing October 5th. Sue explained to Jeffrey what it means to flex, how to set “flex goals,” and how you have the capacity to flex every day. We’ve all heard the cliché that leaders are readers. This week’s guest on “All Business with Jeffrey Hayzlett” not only believes it, he wrote the book on it. Jeff Brown recently co-authored “Read to Lead,” which is something Brown still can’t believe because he says, “school educated (reading) out of me.” So, what changed? He began reading books on subjects he was interested in. Brown also said taking notes while reading helped him become a better writer. Besides taking notes, reading taught Brown how successful people D.R.E.A.M. (listen to the show to find out what each letter means).
