Why most people don’t invest in real assets and how the rich use fake assets to rob the poor and the middle class

The rich do not invest in fake assets and they do not work for money. Rather they know the rules of the game now that money is debt. Their financial knowledge and intelligence allow them to invest in real assets that put money in their pockets each month and make them richer.

If you want to get off the hamster wheel of giving your money away to the rich through fake assets, you must first start with financial education. You must increase your financial intelligence to invest in real assets that provide cash flow

By increasing your financial education and knowledge, you too will be able to invest like the rich and easily spot fake assets when you see then…and invest in real assets like a pro.

There are two different ways to get rich. One route is to utilize your own cash. The other path is to utilize Other People’s Money, or as we call it at Rich Dad, OPM. One (utilizing your own cash) gives little to-humble returns, sets aside a long effort to work out, and requires some financial intelligence. The other (OPM) gives huge to-infinite returns, creates amazing velocity of cash, and requires a high financial intelligence.

Be diligent. Continue to increase your financial education. Work hard. And master the fundamentals of good debt and OPM, and you WILL become wealthy.

How to put your extra money to work for you

One of the things I love most about my work is seeing people move from the left side of the CASHFLOW Quadrant to the right side of the quadrant.

The process of moving from being an employee or self-employed to a business owner or a sophisticated investor is a bit like that of a caterpillar turning into a beautiful butterfly. It takes time and often requires a total transformation in mindset and behavior.

One of these behavior changes is understanding what to do when you have more money suddenly at your disposal. Whether it’s from an inheritance, a raise or bonus, or some other source, the temptation for those on the left side of the quadrant can be too, at best, follow conventional advice about money, or, at worse, to spend it on liabilities like cars or vacations.

Such conventional advice could be to increase your contributions to your 401(k) or to continue to live below your means. I’ve written a lot about both these topics, and it should come as no surprise that I don’t condone either of them.

If you’re facing a windfall in new money, now is the perfect time to put into place the rich dad fundamental: invest in cash-flowing assets.

But in order to do that, you need to understand some basic rules of investing.

Learning and mastering the rules of investing takes a life-long investment in financial education. But these basics will get you started. Where you go from here is up to you.

The first quarter of 2020 showed big promises for a favorable real estate market largely due to a strong economy, low unemployment, and record-low interest rates. This all changed when the coronavirus pandemic hit this past March.
