Advocacy…public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy. The term advocacy carries a broad scope of applicability. Today’s episode brings the advocacy process front and center as our guest shines the spotlight on one of the oldest professions, sex working, and consensual prostitution. Although controversial in nature, the focus is centered around the disparaging double standard we face because of preconceived social beliefs.

Strength is measured in how you pick yourself up and move forward. Our guest today was blindsided by divorce that stripped her of all her confidence, robbing her of everything she had worked for. LisaBeth (LB) Thomas was regarded as one of the most respected women in her advertising and marketing field. Until she wasn’t.

LB lost her home, and her business in one fell swoop. If that wasn’t enough, she lost her mom and biggest supporter as she prepared to close on the home she lost. Through this all, she struggled with her confidence and belief in herself and her abilities. In retrospect, she uncovered deep seeded fears that were sabotaging her life.
