The Honorable Mark L. Madrid is a nationally recognized economic strategist, AI futurist, bestselling author, and Founder & CEO of Breakthrough Mavens, LLC, an AI-powered boutique fractional C-Suite firm delivering white-glove, results-driven transformation for organizations across sectors. In his previous role as Associate Administrator at the U.S. Small Business Administration, Mark and his team supported more than 4 million U.S. small businesses in entrepreneurial development, capital access, cybersecurity, procurement, scale, and rural development. Although he began his career outside of college on Wall Street in the mid 90s, he is grounded in meeting people where they are. Since 2021 Mark has served on the McCoy College of Business Foundation. His priority and legacy philanthropic effort is serving as life mentor to HBSA here at Texas State. He has volunteered in this role for the last 12 years. Mark has an endowment here at the McCoy College of Business, dedicating an annual scholarship in perpetuity. Appointed as an Honorary Colonel for U.S. Army Reserve and honored with the Jefferson Award.
