–Dr. Barbara H. Roberts was a cardiologist & Director of The Women’s Cardiac Center at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. She is the author of the fascinating book The Truth About Statins: Risks and Alternatives to Cholesterol-lowering Drugs.
In her book, she says that over the last few decades she had been prescribing statins for her patients when it was indicated, & initially, these medicines seemed safe & reasonably well tolerated. But the more she learned about statins, both from the experiences of her own patients, & in the medical literature, the more concerned she become.
Dr. Roberts will share her point-of-view on:
-Whether statins are a Miracle Cure as they have been touted by many cardiologists to be. How solid is the science behind justifying treating people with statins?
-What are common side effects & how rare are they?
-How about Red Yeast Rice as an alternative?
-Is Cholesterol a vital part of every cell in our bodies & essential for the normal functioning of muscles, nerve cells, & the brain & how she feels they react if they are chronically starved of a chemical necessary for their proper function?
-Do women have more side effects & different results than men?

Sami Steigmann is a Holocaust survivor and one of the youngest survivors alive today. He found out years later that he was a victim of Nazi medical experiments with kids & still endures the pain today. Few people on this earth have gone through the atrocities he faced when he was just a child, & he was able to transform himself from a victim into an agent of social change with his speeches to tens of thousands of youth and at major Holocaust institutions such as the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Manhattan. He is dedicated to reaching as many young people as he can, nationally & internationally, promoting tolerance.
His advice: “NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER LOSE HOPE & enjoy the life you’ve been given. NEVER BE A PERPETRATOR (anyone that hurts another, intentionally and repeatedly, is a perpetrator). But most importantly, NEVER, EVER BE A BY-STANDER. The greatest tragedy in human history, the Holocaust & all the genocides, happened because the world stood by and did nothing.”
