Hungry for Meaning? Gens X & Z Explain Why

Steve Biegel and Anna Danyi C come together October 23rd for a deep dive into Social Media, Brands, and who cares.

YES, BRAND BUILDERS™ is hosting Speaking Purpose to Power: the Revolution Will Be Branded, and I will be moderating the discussion. It’s YOUR chance to:

  • Engage
  • Contribute
  • Hear Different Perspectives

AND cut to the heart of what “purpose-driven,” “mission-driven,” “conscious entrepreneurship,” and “social responsibility” really mean. Not as keywords or search terms, but as values.

Over the course of -REDACTED- years helping many, many corporate and individual clients find their voices, I’ve cultivated a taste for working with people who innovate methods and change minds. “Thought leader” is the popular descriptor, but the trouble with being TOO popular is that you risk relinquishing the incomparable voice that got people’s attention in the first place.

For this discussion, I turned to a pair of individuals – separated by generations, gender, and almost every other demographic – who share this much: each has turned their conscious curiosity into an all-out quest, with audiences that intersect more than we may realize.

Post as You Are: Anna Danyi, Founder/Gen Z App Builder

In 2020, Anna Danyi, fresh out of London School of Economics (LSE) and a brief internship with McKinsey, founded Novum Studio, over which she presides as CEO. Novum’s first product, Frog App, grew out of a passion for authentic, unfiltered social sharing — with a little boost from TikTok, the app went viral almost overnight, riding a wave of organic growth to reach millions of daily active users worldwide. Today, Novum Studio is a London-based multi-product company with 100+ global team members representing talent from all over the world.

Play for Real: Steve Biegel, Thinker-Speaker-Doer

Steve Biegel has an encyclopedic knowledge of what has and hasn’t worked in advertising over the past several decades… running deeper still is his understanding of purpose and the role it plays in the brand-consumer relationships of today. An award-winning ad veteran, Steve got his start as a copywriter at agencies like Ammirati & Puris, Ogilvy, Havas, and others. He is currently working with a publisher on Meaningful Brands, a nonfiction book that traces purpose marketing to its deep, often mystical, roots.

I’m so proud of the response we’ve been getting to our events, including last month’s “Actual Intelligence: AI That Won’t Kill Your Brand”:

“Love this conversation, be great if it could happen quarterly, thank you Hersh for organizing!” -Lisa Gimenez

“Thank you Hersh, James, Dylan! It was eye-opening.” -Chi Hegdekar

“One of the best AI events I’ve attended.” -Yvonne DiVita

We have our eyes on the future (though it’s hard to look away from the present), and it’s with great pleasure I extend this invitation to this event:

Speaking Purpose to Power: the Revolution Will Be Branded

What happens next depends on us.
