Get Off Your Assets!

That’s the name of my new quiz, and it’s more than a lead magnet, it’s a call to action.

You’ve accomplished quite a bit. You’re also busy. Packaging and optimizing your assets may not be top of mind. You are IN it, and DOING IT takes precedence over CULTIVATING AN IMAGE around it.

So, this Get Off Your Assets Quiz is a quick way to take stock where you’re at in the process of building and exploiting your Personal Brand and business.

What is an Asset?

For purposes of this conversation, an asset is something you can capitalize on as you disseminate your message.

For example:

  • A podcast
  • A book
  • A newsletter
  • Social Media Profiles
  • Credits, Firsts, & Game Changers
  • The number of people you’ve helped as a coach or consultant
  • Accolades, Honors, and Testimonials
  • Wins

Having these things is only as powerful as how well you package yourself.

Define “Packaging”

We know that it all begins with your message, right? You’ve done the deep dive work, explored your assets, and you know who you are. Clarity is an important first step, as is preparedness.

Now, you have to create a Brand Ecosystem around your assets, presenting them in context across multiple channels:

  • Website (the one channel you truly own)
  • Social Media (which channels are best for your brand)
  • Stages (where you showcase your Thought Leadership, for example)

Each of these channels requires a strategy, For that to happen, you need to establish the purpose the channel serves, i.e., Revenue, Marketing, or Thought Leadership.

The Package paints a 360-degree view of your Personal Brand that is on-message.

Optimize, How?

Start by refining your audience, because they’re the ones to whom all of this messaging is directed.

I say “refine,” because you have already “defined” your ICP. Now, you need to go deeper. I refer you to my esteemed colleague, Nancy Zare Ph.D., and her AlikeAbility platform, which is integral to my own relationship building with clients and colleagues.

And then, I highly recommend implementation, because, well, you can’t make the most of something if you don’t set s**t in motion!
