Graciela Soto Perez was raised in Woodlake, CA. She is the 3rd child of 4 children. Her parents were Migrant Farm Workers. Graciela harvested olives, grapes and oranges along with her family year-round from childhood to adolescent. She volunteered at Kaweah Delta Health Care District as a Candy Striper (Hospital Volunteers) in 8th grade, starting in their library then interpreting for the Spanish speaking population in the Emergency Room. The medical field was intriguing, and she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide during her High School years. Also obtained a Business certificate from the Tulare County Organization for Vocations Education (TCOVE) program. Graciela obtained a Bachelor of Art in Public Policy Planning and Development with a minor in Health Care Administration from the University of Southern California. Later obtained a Masters in Health Administration and Gerontology from the University of Southern California. She currently still holds this position. She serves as Board of Director for the Tulare Chamber of Commerce, the California Primary Care Association, Central Valley Health Network, Central Coast Health Network and ProYouth. She also sits as on the Advisory Board for the Tulare Pre Med Pathway Program for the Tulare High Schools and also sits on the Tulare County Medical Access to Care Committee.

Patrick MacLeamy

Patrick MacLeamy spent 50 years at HOK, which grew into one of the largest architecture and engineering firms in the world during his time there. He rose from Junior Designer to CEO and witnessed the firm’s growth from a single midwestern office to 27 locations across the globe offering architecture, interiors, engineering, planning and more. MacLeamy joined HOK St. Louis in 1967, then helped establish the firm’s San Francisco outpost in 1970, later becoming managing principal of that office. He joined HOK’s executive committee in 1995 and was named COO five years later. In 2003, HOK shareholders elected MacLeamy Chief Executive Officer. He led the firm for 13 years. In 2016, MacLeamy chose a new CEO for HOK, remaining as Chairman for one more year before retiring —or as he likes to say, “repurposing.”

MacLeamy believes in getting involved to help improve the building industry, and has served in many roles and received multiple honors for this work. He was a member of the Architecture and Engineering Productivity Committee of the Construction Users Round Table, convened by the General Services Administration, in 2003. The National Institute for Building Sciences honored him with its President’s Award in 2005. MacLeamy served on the American Institute of Architects’ Large Firm Roundtable for many years, and, in 2006, the AIA named him a Fellow in recognition of his service to the profession. MacLeamy was also chairman of the Construction Industry Round Table from 2012 to 2013. Recently he was elected to membership in the National Academy of Construction in recognition of his many contributions to the building industry.
