STEVE HUGHES: An Equity actor, a serious theater buff, choreographer, award winning latin and ballroom dancer, event planner, entrepreneur, life coach and more, is one of the most compassionate, giving, humorous, optimistic, deep thinking and loving persons, with such an amazing, agile, creative mind, whose friendship I’m privileged to have. A wonderful human being walking this earth. He sums up the past 2 years with the word ‘EXTREMES’: extreme isolation in his new home in Florida – moving twice; extreme amounts of travel – 5 cruises plus a trip to Hawaii and CA; extreme transformation of a friend’s out of state, newly purchased house to a home; working on getting his Real Estate License – managing to avoid CV   . Steve feels that we only get this one life, and this moment can never be lived again!  For all it’s unique trauma and unbelievable circumstance, this life is still a marvel and privilege to witness.

Crystal Shipp has lived a joyous life of service to others, in her way, boldly, fearlessly and with a twinkle in her eye. Her love of and for people has made her an assertive advocate for many. Adventurous, she’s climbed Machu Pichu twice, a Dubai desert safari, been in the Air Force thwarting rules all with much humor. Having conquered her acting dreams, she’s now painting up a storm.  Crystal, loving, kind, always ready to step up for another.

After studying political science at SUNY, followed by becoming a former HR Director at Sesame Workshop, then Assistant Director, EEO & Title VI Compliance of Staffing & Employee Relations, Leon Goodman then becomes a photographer, journalist for 50+BOLD, an online magazine and chef. He is now returning to his early college days, being moved to his 118 mile silent protest walk against police brutality, which began on the Queens side of the 59th Street bridge to end at the Montauk Lighthouse. Soon Leon was lovingly surrounded and supported by the Black Lives Matter division of Eastern Long Island. Taking one step at a time, Leon has become a beacon to so many in his specific mission.

Described as a hyphenate, Raqiyah Mays has been a passionate activist for women first, for years. Her celebrity as a journalist, author, Executive Producer, radio and TV personality, and host of her very successful ‘Real Black News’ podcast does not impede on her being down to earth, fun, funny, outspoken, real and caring.
