Caroline McCarthy is VP of Marketing & Communications at Infillion, an advanced media buying platform. There, she leads media and brand strategy, thought leadership development, research reports, and all other public-facing content. She joined Infillion in its merger of tech companies TrueX and Gimbal, and previously had led communications and content at TrueX through its acquisitions by Fox Networks Group and then Disney. Before that, she worked in content marketing at Google, and as a journalist for CNET Networks covering social media. 

Caroline was a member of TED’s Residency program in spring 2018, where she worked on and delivered a TED talk about the advertising industry’s role in creating the current crisis in partisan media. She also was a 2020 tech policy fellow at the Foundation for American Innovation (formerly Lincoln Network) and gave a 2019 TEDxBoulder talk about voter engagement around tech policy. She has served on the board of directors of youth tech literacy organization Mouse, as well as on the advisory councils of the Center for Democracy and Technology and the International Center for Not-For-Profit Law.
