    Who is Dr. Pamela Jolly?


    Dr. Pamela Jolly is an established professional with 20 years experience in the areas financial services, strategic management, change management, marketing research and community and economic development. She integrates both her corporate and entrepreneurial experiences to establish a solid understanding of how to bridge the enterprising interests of large corporations and government with minority business enterprises (MBE’s). Pamela has developed a unique way of negotiating with both sides of investment table to merge shared interests in ways that benefit top line revenue and bottom-line profits of community and the economic systems around it.


    She began her career in banking (NationsBank), where she was promoted to Assistant Vice President in three years. After graduating with an MBA from The Wharton School of Business she honed her strategy skills at (Accenture) as a Manager in the Financial Services Strategy & Business Architecture Practice working within banking, capital markets, and insurance and technology industries. Pamela then went on to merge her banking and strategy skills in the world of private equity (Dubois Partners) where she evaluated private equity investment opportunities in the capital goods, consumer products, financial services, media, and entertainment and healthcare sectors. She polished her financial services corporate experience in the field of marketing research strategy where she learned to design segmentation-based marketing strategies and executions, new product development plans, and consumer insight research studies through qualitative and quantitative methods (Rosetta).


    Pamela has a BS from Hampton University, an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, a MTs from Boston University School of Theology, and an Ed.D from the Graduate Theological Foundation.


    In 2010 she formalized her unique process of work with MBE's with the creation of the NarrowRoad™, a custom tailored curriculum that infuses business history with financial literacy, financial management, investment management and risk management. She leverages the NarrowRoad™ methodology to work with committed entrepreneurs to build the required skills and expertise capable of building legacy wealth via ownership in both domestic and global community markets.

    Who is Brian K. Wright?


    Brian K Wright is the host of Success Profiles Radio and publisher of Success Profiles Magazine. 


    Over the last 7 years, Brian has interviewed world-class achievers such as Darren Hardy, Jack Canfield, Loral Langemeier, Kevin Harrington, Sharon Lechter, Chris Powell, Dan Lok, and many more.

    Who is Derrick Butts?


    Derrick Butts is a master motivator, communicator and influencer.

    He is the founder of Assist U2 Win, a global organization designed to connect people to their unique purpose in an atmosphere of mutual collaboration. This passion to motivate others has been a theme of his life beginning as early as 1996 graduating from Martin High School in Arlington, Texas as a basketball All Star Athlete. Athletic teamwork helped to mold him. The attitude of interdependent relationships set on a common course during years of being on the court inspired him. His own contribution to the team pushed him to accept his life’s calling – to assist others to win in their own lives.


    Declining college offers for basketball, Derrick had a strong conviction he should impact others in a different way. He continued helping others when he began teaching at Acton Elementary and the later launching of his own church. Derrick however wanted to expand his experience and reach. This lead him to the automotive industry. It’s on the showroom of WestWay Ford in Irving his gift of communication and closing the sale began to shine to another level. Excelling rapidly, he moved from being the Top Sales Associate to becoming the Sales Manager and then General Sales Manager within a few short years. In 2010 Derrick joined the AutoNation Family as both the Finance Director & General Sales Manager. Having exceeded expectations, Derrick was promoted to General Manager of his own store at AutoNation Toyota in 2015. Derrick continued in the automobile industry sharpening his skills, building teams, resolving conflicts, closing sales, developing individual staff, problem solving, setting, meeting and exceeding business goals.


    Derrick is a people person. He is a hidden asset behind the success of notable people and organizations who seek out his creative ideas and strategic thinking.     Don't Forget The Price Paid For Big Failures - today walking through the Alamo and the “Famous Riverwalk” in San Antonio, Texas I reflected on lessons learned this past year, started planning for next year. Listen up you have to watch the video to see how a photographer at a restaurant on Riverwalk talked me into buying photos that Carla Brown and I agreed prior to sitting down that we would absolutely under-no-circumstance buy (I love the Givers Economy it works each time). Now back to the Alamo experience. It might seem odd that the Texans would go around shouting, "Remember when you beat the snot out of us!" all the way to freedom. In fact, "Remember the Alamo!" (said in a more ominous tone) might have better been a saying of the Mexican army. But, in the end, the Texans rode it all the way to freedom.

    These days, it seems like business people and companies try to bury their mistakes and failures as soon as humanly possible. What a waste! Someone has paid dearly to make those mistakes. To bury them is to truly waste that sacrifice. At very least, use the cost of a big mistake to teach the entire organization a lesson. Maybe, like the Texans, use the experience to inspire an even bigger success.

    I’ve noticed over the past few months that many members of the tribe have been struggling in two areas - Prospecting with qualified buyers and Setting Appointments with people who have a problem and have an interest, want or desire to solve their problem now. It’s not always the close that causes the greatest frustration — it’s mastering prospecting and setting appointments.     Starting tonight become a better closer. If you asked most people what activity they associated most with sales, I’d guess that many of them would respond the same way: Closing. And it’d be no surprise. For one thing, it’s the most visible part of the sales process -- all of us have been closed at one time or another, whether we’re buying a new mobile phone (I prefer the Iphone) or a new Learjet. For another, there’s nothing sexy about prospecting or discovery calls. But movies like Boiler Room, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Glengarry Glen Ross have (unfortunately) glorified aggressive, hard-closing salespeople as rainmakers. Real closing involves a lot less pomp and circumstance and a lot more strategy and patience, however.     [I am a proud dad] I passed along this life lesson for my oldest son Che and my future daughter-on-law Brittanee - make sure you keep putting the capital S in your “Significant other.” The most important thing you can do is “Be Friends, First and Always” while this may sound corny (and possibly as unromantic as it gets), but the passion you have when you’re newly dating won’t last forever. If that’s all that you have going on between you and your spouse, then as soon as the attraction ends, so will the relationship. I know you’re sticking your fingers in your ears right now, because you don’t want to talk about that either, but I have no doubt you’ll find that someday in the future you’ll realize it’s true. You will need your friendship to sustain you when things are hard, when one of you is sick, when you are tired and when you are not at your best. You need someone who knows who you are — all of you — who can forgive you and love you for your flaws and faults, even when you forget to do it for yourself.

    Be Obessed - Stop Avoiding The Hills - Thought of the Week - Don't skip the hills! I ran 5 miles through the streets of Atlanta (Vinings) -- whew what a mindset and physical challenge. When I run solo I have a habit of skipping the hills. But these hills in Atlanta are now joke. I felt like I was moving very slow --- in fact I was as my pace was slightly over 11 minutes per mile higher than 9min 30 sec mile --- the hills were very steep and difficult. Just like life. Sometimes it's a challenge to wake up at 5 am and workout, to resist a new shirt and out the money into my investment account, or slow down to enjoy life vs working. But just like running hills where muscle strength is developed, endurance happens, and mental toughness happens that make me faster -- when eat the right foods, spend less than you make, develop relationships you live a much more fulfilling life. My point: don't skip the hills!
