AB 160: From Down Under To Downtown – How Do You Turn A Business Digital?
InStitchu officially launched in 2012, and is the brainchild of long-time mates, James Wakefield and Robin McGowan. The pair first met in high school and started the venture after lucrative careers in the financial and Property sectors: James an Associate Advisor at Macquarie Bank (Australias leading investment bank), and Robin in Investment Advisory at CBRE.
James and Robin realized the difficulty of building their own professional wardrobes after entering the corporate workforce.
Both grew tired of the endless search for high-quality affordable business attire and as it turned out they weren’t the only ones who were looking for a better experience and easier way to shop for a suit or shirt to wear to work. After their friend came home with a tailor-made suit from Thailand, it was then they realized they could do something about it, leveraging the internet to bridge the gap between high-end tailors in Asia and consumers all over the world.
