NSA Authors Community Group Meeting

September 21 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM EDT

One upon a time there was the greatest storyteller in all of the land. Who might it be? How did they get to be the greatest? We’re about to find out…

Anyone can write a story, but not everyone can pen a good story. Becoming proficient at wordsmithing is a delicate, intricate, and balanced process. Lisa Cron is the author of “Wired for Story,” “Story Genius,” and most recently, “Story or Die: How to Use Brain Science to Engage, Persuade, and Change Minds in Business and in Life” and she will address the best ways to engage and captivate audiences with our storytelling.

Lisa will be the guest speaker at the NSA Authors’ Group meeting on Tuesday, September 21 @ 6PM ET. She will address:

  • Great hooks that make up a good story
  • Defining what your story is about (hint: it’s NOT the plot)
  • What writers need to know before they tackle a new story
  • Three writing myths that can make you tank right out of the gate
