Additional important influences include 15 years performing professionally and a lifetime of arts training- including Northwestern University where she studied Education and Theater.

Her passion for restoring the social fabric of modern culture via cultivating a sense of shared humanity, belonging and meaningful human connection inspired her to found The Connection Movement (2012). This community-focused organization helps individuals & groups share empathy, vulnerability, and important bridge-building conversations through public trainings, social events, and Connection Camp; an adult-sleepaway-camp fostering play, deep relationships, personal discovery, authentic self-expression and belonging.
